Good review, to the point. Thank you. I’m very new to adjustable beds. If you could explain to me what is INDEPENDENT pillow tilting and microhooking, that would be awesome. I think I know everything else 😛
Hi Pete,
Excellent question. When pillow tilting was first introduced, it was kind of ‘DEPENDENT’ on head tilt. In other words, the top most pillow section would only start tilting once the head section was completely tilted. So if head section raised 60 degrees, pillow tilting would come into effect only at this point. If you wanted to raise the pillow section while the head section was still flat, you couldn’t do it. It was the same motor and the same button on the remote that raised both the head and pillow sections. But after about 2018, manufacturers introduced an independent motor and a dedicated remote button to pillow tilting so that it can function independent of head tilting.
That way, if your partner was snoring and you wanted to raise his/her head only, you can do that with independent pillow tilting.
Hope all is clear now 🙂
